The 6 main accessory trends from the last catwalks
Each new season has its own major trends and it’s difficult to imagine a high fashion week without spectacular accessories. In this season, in addition to a variety of bags, designers added asymmetrical earrings, compound necklaces and large glasses to their couture outfits.
1.“The Pouch” bag
The bag was one of the first releases of the new creative director of Bottega Veneta, Daniel Lee. It has become a popular accessory at the Paris Fashion Week and the Pitti Uomo exhibition. The accessory perfectly complements the silhouette of an oversized shirt and voluminous shorts.
2. Asymmetrical Earrings
This season, asymmetrical earrings were increasingly found on the catwalks of the Couture Fashion Week. In addition, large models like Alexandre Vauthier and Armani Prive are also in demand. Combine the earrings with a minimalistic monochrome outfit.
3. Sunglasses
Balmain presented round glasses that resemble binoculars, and Schiaparelli made a bet on transparent asymmetrical glasses. Alexander Votier claims that narrow glasses remain in trend for at least one more season, while Elie Saab presented massive masked glasses. So this season choose several pairs at once.
4. Large necklaces
The favorites were fancy necklaces and collars, as well as irregularly shaped jewelry with the use of pearls. The most wonderful samples were presented at the Paco Rabanne, Marni, and Off-White shows.
5. Kerchiefs
The appearance of kerchiefs in the last collections did not come as a surprise at all: this accessory has already managed to establish itself this season. In 2020, designers continue to develop this theme, complementing strict outfits with bright kerchiefs and scarves.
6. Small “paper” bag
Bags, like paper bags, continue to win the hearts of fashionistas. A few days ago Balenciaga released smaller versions of their famous “packages”. Handbags in gray, white and black colors. Similar but colorful models are in the Medea collection.
